Movie Review -"The Kids are all right"

Movie Review. "The Kids are All Right". I loved this movie. A family with 2 middle aged lesbian Moms and 2 teenage children. They are like any other family. Experiencing the same life blessings and angsts. UNTIL an "interloper" enters the scene in the form of the sperm donor - at the request of the kids. The casting is very well balanced- Annette Benning & Julianne Moore with Mark Ruffalo. The kids are great and hold their own next to these award winning actors. As DD said " rich subtext", honest emotions. Sincere.

The Cow Palace

I haven't been to the Cow Palace for a long time. Used to bike down with the group for breakfast -always good. When we first moved to GV we often went there for dinner -nearly always bad.

Stopped there for lunch on the way back from the Dentista in Mexico. Usually have a good burger-blue cheese. Yummmm.

Many poppies along the roadside. Don't really know if they are the same poppies that we get in the spring.

This truly is a tourist place to eat and undoubtedly still does well in the Snow Bird season. It is like many other restaurants in the southwest that celebrates the cowboy and old western life.

Kings and Queens of Cactus

The many varied many armed giant Saguaro that line the median of North Abrego.

I wonder when they were
planted or transplanted?

How old are they?

How many Monsoons have they seen?

The Grandmother of all Golden Barrel cactus.
I counted 18 progeny on this one.

And a Golden Barrel face.
