La Posada en el noche

La Posadas -named for the trip Joseph and Mary took to find lodging (posada), are carried out by the people from all over town to the Cathedral. They parade nightly from Dec. 1 to Dec. 12, the day of Our Lady of Guadalupe. It is said that not all Mexicans are Catholic but all are "Guadalupeons."

My camera "no functionada"
well at night.
So these photos are not the best but they show you the throngs of people singing, carrying candles and their kids to the church.

Food stalls line the
streets. Occasional
floats interrupt the
walkers.
